    As part of the regional Trolley Trail Day on June 10, the City, Neighborhood Design Center, and SoHy Co-op are hosting a community design workshop at “The Spot”, 4505 Hamilton Street. Community members of all ages are encouraged to stop by from 10 a.m. – noon to participate in interactive activities to help re-imagine this public space! In addition to the workshop, there will also be local business pop-ups, kid-friendly activities, food trucks, and live music at The Spot between 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

  2. Invasive Vine Removal Training

    Save our trees! Volunteers needed! The Chesapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN) assessed City trees and identified approximately 3,747 trees currently being strangled by invasive vines on public and private property. The City is looking for volunteers to assist with invasive vine removal to save these trees! Registration is now open for our invasive vine removal trainings. During the training participants will learn the skills and tools needed to remove vines without harming the tree. These skills can be applied at home or to support neighbors in need of tree care. CCAN will be organizing groups of trained volunteers to assist with the trees at most risk over the next several months.

  3. Bulk Waste Pop-Up Day!
