How much time do I have to pay this citation?
When a citizen receives a citation, he/she must respond within (30) calendar days (including weekend) of the date on the citation.

If the citation is not paid in full within (60) days of issuance, the Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) will be notified to flag the vehicle license plate.

If the citation is not paid in full within (90) days of issuance, the City of Hyattsville Maryland will begin collections efforts.

**Payment processing time should be included within the 30-day period. The day after the issuance (mail) date on the citation counts as day one.
