Request to Stand Trial
UPDATE: As of October 2023, the Hyattsville District Court will not schedule any in-person citation appeals until January 2024. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this change.
If you wish to stand trial for a City of Hyattsville citation, you must submit a request within 15 calendar days from the date the citation was issued. You can submit the option to appeal or by completing and mailing the form on the back of the citation.
Please note that once a REQUEST TO STAND TRIAL has been filled out and submitted within the 15-day window, the citation has been locked, a court date will be issued by the courts, and the fine cannot be paid unless released by Hyattsville Parking Compliance staff.
If you choose to forego Court and pay the citation, please notify Hyattsville Parking Compliance directly at least three (3) days before the Court date.
