A COVID-vaccine can prevent serious illness by allowing your body to create antibodies that protect you from contracting the COVID-19 virus. Anyone aged 5 or older is eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine, regardless of insurance of immigration status. Fully vaccinated individuals 18 and older are also eligible for a third dose booster vaccine.
