Harvest and Use
- Harvest in June. Berries are dark purple and pull off easily when ripe.
- Berries are sweet and slightly tart. The Shangri la variety grows longer and plumper than the weeping variety.
- Mulberries can be eaten whole, baked into pies, cakes and breads or made into jams and jellies. They are also a great addition to smoothies and juices!
