Parks
The major park facility,
Magruder/Hamilton Park,
covers 32 acres and has
- an outdoor pool,
- ball fields,
- tennis courts,
- a boardwalk nature trail,
- picnic areas, and
- a playground.
In addition to Magruder/Hamilton Park, there are six small parks throughout the City. They are:
- Gallatin Park - 42nd Place and Gallatin Street
- Hyatt Park - Hamilton Street and 36th Avenue
- Tiny Park - 31st Avenue and Nicholson Street
- Nicholson Park - 40th Avenue and Nicholson St.
- Burlington Park - 46th Ave. and Burlington Rd.
- Deitz Park - 4100 Block of Oliver Street
The Department of Recreation offers a Transportation Program for senior citizens and residents with disabilities.
