Project Description
The Trumbule Trail, in memory of Robert J. Trumbule, is a nature trail and boardwalk located in Magruder Park.

Improvements
Improvements to the trail completed in 2009 include:

• The extension of a six-foot wide asphalt path to the beginning of the boardwalk;
• The replacement and repair of the existing circular boardwalk;
• Upgrades to make the trail accessible to all visitors.

Boardwalk
The new boardwalk is four feet wide and includes bump outs.  The bump outs widen the boardwalk with minimal disturbance to the surrounding wetland. Construction materials are of water- and environment-approved lumber.
