 CONSENT AGENDA
To approve a contribution of $200 to the “Children of Edward M. Toatley
Trust Fund” in honor of the Maryland State Police officer who was
shot and killed in the line of duty on October 30, 2000.

To establish a price of $25.00 for a printed copy of the Charter and Code of
the City of Hyattsville, and $10.00 for a CD-Rom version.

To accept the petition for residential parking on the 6100 block of 42nd
Place.

MOTION   To direct staff to contact CSX and negotiate salvage of
the building contents and other outstanding issues as appropriate. - Currie

MOTION   To adopt the following City priorities:
1) Business Development: Annexation of various sites and long range plan
for implementation.  (Home Depot and Super Fresh)

2) Housing: Development of a revolving fund for a home improvement program

3) Marketing: Apply for mixed-use town center zone and develop MUTC
Development Plan

4) Technology: Computer, I-Net, City connectivity, community connectivity,
maintenance and upgrading, web and City equipment including Cable TV

5) Marketing: Inventory space on Route 1 and East West Highway for
suitability for arts development in cooperation with art space,
Hyattsville/Gateway CDC

6) Landscape Issues: Tree maintenance program  (Evaluation and replacement,
utility pruning agreement); create a reforestation program (Expansion of
Shade Tree Program on residential streets, planting of forests in public
land and enforcement of tree ordinance)

7) Housing Issues: Vacant housing issues in the City

8) Technology: Pursue Hi-tech corridor

9) Technology: Upgrade Police Department communications and records
management systems

10)  Grants: Various: Will apply to specific priorities identified by
Council - Brogden

MOTION   To approve the installation of pedestrian level lighting on Gaines
Alley. - Currie

MOTION   To establish an Adopt-A-Street program for the City of Hyattsville
and approval o expenditure up to $200. – Smith

MOTION   To approve the proposed site design for the KFC/A&W Restaurant in
the Queens                Chapel Town Center. - Frazier
