Bulk Trash Cleanup Days

On a Saturday in the spring and fall of each year, the City holds a Mary Prangley Cleanup Day, named in honor of the City's first female mayor, who worked hard to keep our City clean. On these days, the City will pick up bulk trash items including: 

  • Mattresses & Box Springs
  • Chairs
  • Tables
  • Doors
  • Grills
  • Swings 
  • Cabinets
  • Empty Paint Cans
  • TV Carts
  • Bathtubs
  • Sinks
  • Toilets
  • Wall Units
Please place all bulk trash items curbside after 6 p.m. on the Friday night before a Mary Prangley Cleanup Day.

Need your bulk trash picked up sooner? Call the City at (301) 985-5000. Community Forklift, a nearby nonprofit, can also pickup most items free of charge. Call them at (301) 985-5180.

E-Recycling Days

Twice a year, the City also accepts electronics for recycling free of charge at the Department of Public Works Operations Center, 4633 Arundel Place. This includes:

  • Batteries
  • Cameras 
  • Cell Phones 
  • Electrical Cords 
  • Computers
  • Monitors
  • Keyboards
  • Laptops
  • Microwaves
  • Toasters & Toaster Ovens
  • Televisions
  • Video Games & Game Consoles 
  • CD players

 Staff will be on site to answer any questions.

Need to recycle your electronics sooner? Prince George's County operates an Electronics Recycling Acceptance Site at the Brown Station Landfill in Upper Marlboro, at 11611 White House Road. For more information, please call the County's Constituent Services Division at 3-1-1 or (301) 883-4748.

Paint Recycling Days

Twice a year, drop off latex paint cans (wet paint) for recycling with Yuck Old Paint at the Department of Public Works Operations Center, 4633 Arundel Place. $5/ can. Cash, check, charge. Paint must be in original containers.
